In Queensland on Wednesday August 14 2019 is The Royal Queensland Show Day, otherwise known as ‘Ekka (Exhibition) Day’, ‘People’s Day’ or ‘Brisbane Show Day’.
This is a public holiday for people living and working within Brisbane City.

The Ekka displays various aspects of fashion, and hold many different competitions each year.
I wonder what will be shown this year …. embroidery, hardanger, recycle, up-cycle, race-wear, youngest designer, emerging designers, best knitting, crocheting, quilting, ribbon embroidery, millinery, …. the choices are endless ….. maybe I will get to see you there.
Do you have anything entered? Good luck if you do.

A bit if Ekka history; The first Ekka Show was held in 1876.
