Planning a Range

An emerging or new designer needs time to get a range developed; you don’t need to know too much about the fashion processes, except it doesn’t happen overnight.
Time to achieve this includes; the designing process, fabric and /or printing resourcing, pattern making, sampling, testing, developing technical packs, grading or getting patterns ready for production.
All processes can overlap each other or may run together at the same time.

As with most good things, this takes time effort and money even with free or good resources and well known shortcuts.

Generally in Winter you develop your Spring and Summer apparel/styles or ranges.
In Summer you develop your Autumn and Winter styles.

Lessons and help are available at Sew n Design, book a consultation online to find out more.

We are also able to digitise your patterns into Style CAD format so you can email the designs overseas for production purposes.
